Psychiatric Associates of North Carolina is proud to provide telepsychiatry to our patients. Telepsychiatry is the delivery of psychiatric assessment and care through video conferencing. The HIPAA compliant video conferencing platform used by our providers provides patient autonomy, confidentiality, and privacy. The American Psychiatric Association supports the use of telemedicine as a “legitimate component of a mental health delivery system,” and many of our patients have given positive feedback to the ease and continuity of care that it provides. Patients are given the opportunity to come into the office to be seen, or given the opportunity to connect to one of our providers through the use of his/her home or work computer. Please contact us if you would like more information on telepsychiatry.
