Psychiatric Associates of NC was established in 1987 with the goal of providing accessible, high quality mental health care to the Raleigh – Triangle area. People often have a difficult time knowing where to turn, or how to began the process. Our goal is to provide a professional environment where you will feel confident that you are receiving the best care. While the COVID health emergency is coming to an end, our office will still offer telehealth service in addition to in-office appointments. Telepsychiatry

Psychiatric Associates of North Carolina is proud to provide telepsychiatry to our patients. Telepsychiatry is the delivery of psychiatric assessment and care through video conferencing. The HIPAA compliant video conferencing platform used by our providers provides patient autonomy, confidentiality, and privacy. The American Psychiatric Association supports the use of telemedicine as a “legitimate component of a mental health delivery system,” and many of our patients have given positive feedback to the ease and continuity of care that it provides. Patients are given the opportunity to come into the office to be seen, or given the opportunity to connect to one of our providers through the use of his/her home or work computer. Zoom Video Appointment Directions

  1.  At the time of your appointment your provider will send a Zoom video conference email request. If you are using a mobile device , you will need to download the Zoom Cloud Meeting APP before you receive your email.
  2. Open the email and click the link.  When you click to connect, the email will automatically download the free zoom Launchpad.
  3. Click the green button that states “Join Audio Conference by Computer.”  You should be all set (just make sure you are connected to the internet and have your volume and webcam turned on).
